Cute and Sweet

Alex just keeps getting sweeter and sweeter the more he is with us. He is such a gentle dog, but fun and funny at the same time. He has not turned into a treat fiend the way my own hound is, but he is starting to enjoy them more. He takes them very gently from you hand and eats slowly. He is in fact the slowest eating Greyhound I have seen. He takes his time with his food and actually chews some of it instead of inhaling it -- like most hounds I know.

He is doing well with his potty habits. He does all his business on leash. If he needs to go out, he gets restless and goes to the door and looks out and then looks at the leashes, or he will try to get the leash down.

He plays well with other hounds, but he is rather confused by other dogs. He just does not know what to make of them. In fact, I have seen him cower away from dogs of any size who approach him from the front, but with a little time his curiosity overcomes his fear and he will give them a sniff, only from the back though.

He is a good sleeper at night and sleeps on a bed in our room very well. He is, however, an early riser and the latest he sleeps in is about six o'clock, but he is so happy and cute when you get up you overlook the time.

I know there is more to say about Alex but I cannot think of it right now other then to say he is a wonderfully loving dog who puts a smile onto our faces regularly, and he will make someone a great pet. Enjoy the pictures of him in all his cuteness.

Here is the famous tongue in action.
Here he is relaxing after a long hard day of being cute.
